Valero Texas Open, For the second consecutive year, the Kodak Challenge, a first of its kind competition PGA TOUR players and fans, check out the th hole at TPC San Antonio in San Antonio, TX Valero Texas Open on April 14-17. The Valero Texas Open is 11 of 30 tournaments to participate in the million and a Kodak Challenge competition this season.
The Kodak Challenge was created to celebrate the beautiful holes and memorable moments on the PGA TOUR. Golfers must play at least 18 of 30 Kodak Challenge holes throughout the season to qualify. The player with the best score of Kodak challenge in relation to par at the end of the season will win the Challenge Trophy and Kodak and 1 million.
Bill Lunde Jarrod Lyle and are linked currently tied for the lead in Kodak Challenge at 7 under par. The pair head a strong field of Kodak at TPC San Antonio, for a total of seven players within two shots of the head, including Charley Hoffman at 6 under par. 2009 winner of the Kodak Challenge, Kevin Streelman is also playing in the Valero Texas Open this week.
Troy Merritt won the 2010 Kodak Challenge in a sudden death playoff hole 17 in classic Miracle Network Children. Merritt defeated Rickie Fowler and Aaron Baddeley in a playoff hole at Walt Disney World Resort Magnolia Course in Lake Buena Vista, FL, to capture the Kodak Challenge trophy and the winner gets all the awards and 1 million.
The hole of 347 yards # 17 TPC San Antonio offers players the opportunity to drive aggressive green. Players with a wide street, but are careful with a large bunker on the right side of the street. The green is protected on the left side with a large bunker in the background. 2010 winner of the Valero Texas Open, Adam Scott sent one of the three eagles in the Kodak Challenge hole last year and was one of only two professionals to reach the par No. 17 in one shot.
Kodak and PGA TOUR announced March 23 that the th hole at Shaughnessy G & CC (RBC Canadian Open), 18 in Plainfield CC (Barclays) and the 17th hole at the PLAYERS Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass (The Players Championship) were added to the calendar 2011 of Kodak Challenge, completing the schedule of 30-hole challenge and a million Kodak.
The RBC Canadian Open (July 21-24 Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada) and Barclays (August 25-28 Edison, New Jersey) have hosted Kodak Challenge holes before, but both tournaments have moved to a new course in. This year marks the first time you visit the Kodak Challenge PLAYERS (May -15 in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL).
