USA vs SloveniaUSA vs Slovenia:Michael Bradley goal eight minutes from time allowed the United States to recover from two goals for a 2-2 draw with Slovenia at Ellis Park Stadium on Friday in Group C play in the FIFA World Cup.

The result leaves Slovenia at the top of the group with four points, while the United States has two points from their first two games. England will face Algeria on Friday in the other match in Group C.

As he did against England in the first game, the U.S. had a bad start, dropping a goal in 13 minutes.

A U.S. response arrived three minutes after the break when a long pass found Donovan Steve Cherundolo on the right wing. He burst into the box and hammered a shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle, cutting the lead in half.

Altidore had a chance 20 minutes from time as a lot of pace in a shot from inside the area but the ball went straight to goalkeeper beaten.

However, Americans continued to press forward and got their equalizer as Altidore nodded a long ball down the path of Bradley, whose half-volley crashing past the goalkeeper from near the penalty spot.

The winner came close three minutes later when Donovan’s free kick was knocked home from close range by Edu, but it mysteriously ruled out.
