USA vs England World CupUSA vs England World Cup:G’day Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg, South Africa.
If the music here on this cool but pleasant evening were the strongest, it would blow the names of the right of the starting lineups, which have just been distributed to computer-stained wretches of the media.

Big surprise No. 1 in the USA: Oguchi Onyewu, who has not played a game of 90 minutes during seven months, starting in central defense for the team coach Bob Bradley.

Big surprise No. 2 to the U.S.: Robbie Findley, who last November became a champion of Major League Soccer with Real Salt Lake, but it was just a blip on the radar distant national team is starting with forward Jozy Altidore.

No real surprises in England. Emile Heskey and Wayne Rooney accompany trying to break the defensive line USA. Robert Green is in the network, starting ahead of David James.

The lineups:

U.S. – Tim Howard, Steve Cherundolo, Jay DeMerit, Oguchi Onyewu, Carlos Bocanegra, Landon Donovan, Michael Bradley, Ricardo Clark, Clint Dempsey, Jozy Altidore, Robbie Findley.

England: Robert Green, Glen Johnson, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Ledley King, Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney.

Only about 45 minutes from the end of the kickoff. I wonder how the butterflies going in both locker rooms?

- Grahame L. Jones, in Rustenburg, South Africa
