“United operates more routes from the U.S. to China than any other airline, and this new service is another step in expanding our network in the U.S. and China,” said Jim Compton, executive vice president and the chief United revenue officer, said in a statement.
United Companies of America competition opened a direct route from Los Angeles and Shanghai on April 5. Both companies received approval from the Department of Transportation for flights in October.
States began to operate flights to China in 1986, and currently has 11 daily nonstop flights to Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai from centers in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco and Washington, DC
His new flight, Flight 877, departs Los Angeles daily at 1:23 pm Pacific Time and arrive at Shanghai Pudong Airport International to the hour of 5:45 pm local time the next day. In return, Flight 878 leaves Shanghai at 8:10 pm and arrives in Los Angeles at 5:07 pm Pacific Time the same day.
The flights are scheduled to provide convenient roundtrip connections to downtown Los Angeles Kingdom cities throughout the western United States, Canada and Mexico, United said. The airline offers more than 225 daily flights from its downtown Los Angeles.
