U2 Bono's Charity Advert BannedU2 Bono’s Charity Advert Banned, An announcement sixty seconds to the Bond of Charity has been banned in the UK for being too political. Well, Bono is so what did they expect?

The ad, featuring stars like Colin Farrell and George Clooney, promotes the cause of charity, the leader of U2, but has been blocked by Clearcast regulator.

“These rules ensure ads are not spread by organizations whose goals are primarily political,” said Clearcast in a statement. “One seems to have been caught by this rule, they claim that part of its raison d’etre is to lobby political leaders.”

The director of a hit back, saying that the code is there to keep the propaganda of the streets, but their purpose is really to highlight the plight of people in East Africa could die before the end of the year.
