Twitter ‘unfollowing’ Bug

March 29, 2012 by staff

Twitter ‘unfollowing’ Bug, The bug causes Twitter users to randomly unfollow other accounts without asking for the account holder’s consent or advising it has been done. Users of the social networking site have been questioning whether there was a glitch in the system for some time, but as the problem appears to be escalating Twitter has finally admitted that there is an issue.

‘This is a bug, and our team is working to fix it,’ the firm said. In the meantime, users are being advised to visit the Twitter support page and to check on their profiles to see if they are still following the users they think they are.

Those affected by the bug include Labour MP Tom Watson, who said he was perplexed by what was going and wondered if it was down to him: ‘I thought I was doing something wrong,’ he tweeted.

While users will be glad to hear that Twitter has admitted there is a problem, facing up to it now means that the site needs to rectify the issue quickly.
