Trapped Ky. Miners, Three miners were trapped by flood water in a mine in Kentucky Monday night, after the entrance of the mine collapsed sometime in the morning.
The families of the miners gathered at a church in southeastern Kentucky, where they are receiving updates on mine safety officials.
The miners are at the top of the number of Jellico mine in Bell County, which is near the Tennessee border.
Rescuers are using four pumps to try to remove water from the mine, and finally reach the trapped miners. No word on when they are expected to happen. None of the miners are believed to be injured.
