Transportation Worker Put Ring On Kelsey Kramer’s Finger

Transportation Worker Put Ring On Kelsey Kramer’s Finger, He dropped the question — right off the Brooklyn Bridge. A Florida man fumbled his proposal to his girlfriend, accidentally letting the .6-carat diamond engagement ring slip out of his hands and off the span.
Fortunately for Trey Turner and his fiancée, Kelsey Kramer, instead of plopping into the East River, the ring landed on scaffolding below.
Two days later, city transportation workers fetched the bauble from the construction site and allowed the couple’s betrothal to go forward.
Turner’s also lucky Kramer still said yes.
The pair had set out from Kramer’s Brooklyn Heights apartment last Wednesday for a walk across the bridge. Sabrina Lau, BAUBLE BOBBLE: Trey Turner and Kelsey Kramer snap a self-portrait moments before he dropped the ring. It was found by bridge worker Doug Reese.
As they strolled the walkway, Turner imagined how awful it would be if he lost his grip.
He dropped down on one knee, and then — just as he feared — he dropped the ring.
“I was pulling the ring to propose, and it flipped out of my pocket,” he told the Brooklyn Paper. “It flew in the air, hit the ground and started to roll. I was leaning down to grab it when it fell.”
He heard the ring strike a metal platform below.
“It was all enclosed,” he said. “So I knew it was down there and not in the river.”
City officials contacted the couple Friday to say they had recovered it. It had been spotted by eagle-eyed bridge worker Doug Reese.
Since Turner was out of town, it was a Department of Transportation employee who had the honor of placing the ring in Kramer’s hand.
Turner is not the first fool in love to drop a ring off the bridge — another groom-to-be did the same thing a year ago.
In Don Walling’s case, the ring slipped out of his fingers and fell into traffic as his girlfriend, Gina Pellicani, and family looked on.
Walling didn’t wait for the city’s help, however. After kissing his fiancée, he climbed down into traffic and got the ring.
