Transgender Student Expelled Fraud, California Baptist University expelled a transsexual student listed as belonging to the female sex in your application form and appeared on an MTV reality show saying that she is biologically male.
Domaine Javier, 24, told the Press-Enterprise of Riverside, Calif., university officials told him he was expelled for “committing or attempting to defraud or conceal the identity of” marking “women” in their online application form .
Javier said he did not think she was doing anything wrong, because it has been identified as a woman since childhood. In an interview with the newspaper on the campus of Riverside City College, Javier said he realized early in life was different, but did not learn the word “transgender” until she was a teenager.
“For me, transsexual is a person born in the wrong body,” said Javier. “As I think of myself as a woman, but I was born in the wrong body -. physically wrong”
At age 13, decided to be faithful to her feelings and began to dress, act and think like a girl. She was valedictorian of her high school class, was elected homecoming queen at Riverside City College and hopes to Cal Baptist to study nursing.
Javier said university officials told her that for a background check was discovered that she appeared on the popular MTV television show “True Life” in an episode that aired April 9 entitled “I’m going as someone I’m not. ”
“Nobody knows the real me,” he told the program. “Growing up, my life was a little bit. I have always defined as a woman, but I am a girl trapped in the body of a man.”
University Code of Student Conduct includes “the abstention of sexual behavior outside of marriage, as defined in the Baptist Faith and Message, June 2000, Article XVIII:” The Family: Marriage is the union of a man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. It is God’s unique gift to reveal the union between Christ and His church and to provide for the man and woman in marriage the framework for intimate companionship, the channel of sexual expression according to biblical standards, and means for procreation of the human race. ‘”
Javier said he knew Cal Baptist, which is located three blocks from her house, was a religious institution, but did not realize that is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention.
Javier said he rejected an offer of admission from Cal State San Bernardino, a public university can not discriminate against transgender students to attend Cal Baptist. She is back at City College, but their nursing curricula have been postponed for a year as they can not enroll in the Cal State until the fall semester.
A spokesman for Cal Baptist told local media that the university does not comment on matters of student discipline.
