Morgan joined Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson for the Heat-Knicks game at Madison Square Garden and asked Smith to settle the argument, “Tina Fey or Sarah Palin?”
Morgan, who works with Fey on NBC’s “30 Rock”, said he preferred the former vice-presidential candidate, which triggered an immediate apology from the network.
“It is unfortunate that Mr. Morgan has shown a lack of opinion on the air with his inappropriate comments. We apologize for any inconvenience or offense it may have caused,” Turner broadcasting spokesman Jeff Pomeroy said in a statement.
TNT issued a statement apologizing for crude remarks about Tracy Morgan on Sarah Palin last night inside the pre-game show NBA: “It’s unfortunate Mr. Morgan has shown a lack of trial on the air with his inappropriate comments. We apologize for any inconvenience or offense it may have caused. ”
During the live broadcast yesterday, co-host Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley Morgan submitted 30 Rock a microphone and asked him to settle a bet: Tina Fey or Sarah Palin? “He and I have this discussion all the time,” Smith sang, referring to Barkley. “[Morgan] the only one who can fix it? Tina Fey or Sarah Palin? “They clearly do not claim that the woman was smarter or more in a race.
Morgan said as he would if he were on stage. “Yo, let me tell you something about Sarah Palin. The good masturbation material.” Co-host Ernie Johnson quickly pulled down the curtain, saying “I want to thank Tracy Morgan for your visit. “Full video after the jump.
