Trace AtkinsTrace Atkins, Country singer Trace Adkins lost his home to fire on Saturday, but the following fire safety tips they have learned in school, the wife of Adkins said, saved his three young daughters. The blaze apparently running in a garage, but quickly spread to the attic of the big house in the afternoon, said Brentwood, Tennessee, Fire Chief Brian Goss. The house is considered a total loss. “Stuff is anything,” said Rhonda Adkins a reporter for CNN affiliate WSMV in Nashville as he stood in the garden of a neighbor watching the house burn.

His three daughters and his dog were inside the house with his nanny when the fire started. Rhonda Adkins was driving a few blocks when a neighbor called. “She said the house was on fire and we look in the air and saw black smoke,” said Adkins. “And I said, ‘Oh, my God, this is not happening, this is not real.”

When she stopped in her yard, she found her two children escaped unhurt, he said.

“They ran a safe place as practiced in the courtyard of a big tree,” he said. “And it worked. You know, fire safety is so important, and we use it today.”

Brentwood firefighters, the same as they were indoors, battling the flames, visited the school of primary school children to teach fire safety earlier this year, he said. One lesson was to put a yellow ribbon, where the family must meet if the house caught fire.

“I tied the yellow ribbon around the tree to go,” he said. “He stood there for a month. Trace kept going:” When you have to lose the tape? And I’m like, ‘you know, I might need someday. ” ”

Adkins said she never expected it to be necessary. “But we did what firefighters told us and we practice it today,” he said. “I saved the lives of my children.”

With her daughters, her nanny and the family dog?? Safe, Adkins said it was easy for her to be quiet and grateful despite the loss of your home. She had one regret, however.

“I have backed up all of my photographs, and I’m sitting here sick because those are the things that matter most,” she said. “It’s your memories, our wedding pictures, I have, because the negatives are in the house.

“Please, everyone, fire safety practice, and back up all your pictures,” he said.

Her husband was on a plane to Alaska for two shows and some fishing when the fire happened. His publicist said he immediately boarded a flight back to Tennessee when he landed.

“Trace wishes to express his gratitude for the immediate response of the Brentwood Fire Department and is humbled by the outpouring of concern from friends and fans,” said a spokesman in a written statement to CNN on Sunday.

Coincidentally, Adkins ‘new single, “Just Fishin’” is published this week. The video, which features the singer and her younger son, Trinidad, on a fishing trip between father and daughter, was released on Friday.

Adkins, 49, was a finalist in the “Celebrity Apprentice” on NBC in 2008, but Donald Trump chose host Piers Morgan, now a CNN anchor chatter, as the winner.
