Toyota Recall October 2010, Automaker Toyota is once again dealing with issues recall. This time the recall includes the Lexus, Toyota Avalon, Highlander models for a total of 740,000 vehicles in the U.S.. This is a “safety memory” as these cars have problems with the brake fluid, which can escape from the brake master cylinder, illumination of brake warning light.
The global recall of these models has a total of 1.5 million vehicles! This means more work for Toyota, a company had to recall 10 million vehicles last year due to a variety of topics.
The models involved in this recall are: 2005 to 2006 Avalon, from 2004 to 2006 Highlander (non-hybrid) and the Lexus RX330 and 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250 and IS350.
According to a press release from Toyota: “If the brake warning lamp is illuminated and the vehicle is being operated without filling the brake fluid reservoir master cylinder, the driver begins to notice a brake spongy or soft touch pedal and brake performance gradually decline. ”
