Toxic Candy

Toxic Candy, (AFP) – U.S. authorities issued a recall Friday for a brand of candy Pakistan is called Toxic Waste Nuclear Sludge Chew Bars, as it turns out that the candy is actually toxic.

The tests showed that the cherry flavoring in chewing bars contained extremely high levels of lead – 0.24 parts per million when the limit of the United States is 0.1.

“This could potentially cause health problems, especially for infants, young children and pregnant women, the Food and Drug Administration said.

The recall affects all flavors of candy bars and all of society ever since its inception in 2007 until January 2011.

The chocolate was imported from Pakistan by a company in Indiana called Circle City Marketing and Distribution, which said it has received no reports of illness from the product.
