Tori Spelling Dispels Divorce Rumors
April 5, 2010 by Post Team
“We’re not headed for divorce,” Spelling, 36, said Monday on NBC’s Today program. “We are committed to each other, we are committed to this family. But you know, work on things like everyone else.”
Images from the fifth season of Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, premiering on Monday in oxygen, apparently shows Spelling telling her husband of nearly four years: “It’s like you have more and more unhappy and angry. I just want former dean of the new. Seriously. I miss you so. ”
But Spelling says not to worry – that she and McDermott, 43, are like any other married couple.
“We have our fights. We have ups and downs. It is a real relationship,” she says. “Some issues have arisen this season, and the cameras were there to catch it. And I’m happy to put that there for my fans, because we are a normal couple, relatable. We are not perfect, and things happen.”
Sometimes, however, she dreams of living with her husband and children – Liam, 3, and Stella, 22 months – away from the cameras. “I know the world of entertainment has been my life and I love it,” he says. “But I have this other side that wants to be the mother of football and want to live in a small town and take my kids in the carpool and stay home and cook dinner every night. … I kind of wanted to have both things that I could balance both. ”
He also spoke of her often troubled relationship with his mother, Candy Spelling, saying that – touch wood – it is improving all the time.
“It’s a work in progress, but it’s great,” he says. “She sees his grandchildren all the time. She loves them, are taken by it. So we’re just working to improve our relationship.”
