American serial killer Tommy Lynn Sells today confessed to the murder of Katy Harris and slashing the throat of Krystal Surles.
It was ten years ago in Texas 1999, when in the still of the night 10 year old Krystal Surles throat was cut after watching her friends murder.
It was her will to live that brought a serial killer to his justice.
Sells revisited the crime scene with Texas Rangers and recounted the attack and demonstrated the way he attacked the girls.
According to Sells he was 16 years old when he committed his first murder.
When he was working as a carny in Missouri in 1985, he met 29 year old Ena Cordt. He says that he was invited to her home for consensual sex. Three days later the bodies of Ena Cordt and her son of four years old were found.
Sells also is suspected of the murder of Suzanne Korcz in New York in 1987. And also in 1987, the murder of the Dardeen Family, and a co-worker in 1998 in Texas.
He claims to have killed upwards of 70 people as told to an interview with Columbia University forensic psychiatrist.
Sells along with his twin sister Tammy Jean at 18 months old, contracted meningitis. His sister died from the inflammation where as Sells survived. He lived with his aunt until he was 5 after being sent there to Holcomb, Missouri.
A man who Sells befriended at eight, who was from a neighbouring city would later be a suspect of child molestation.
Kaylene Harris was fatally stabbed 16 times , and Krystal Surles throat cut. She would survive to later give the police a description using a sketch, which would assist in his apprehension.
Up until his confession today he was serving a death row sentence in Livingston, Texas.
