Tom Hanks Larry, The actor, who recently starred in the post-9/11 drama “Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close,” wrote on his WhoSay page Thursday that his dog passed away. “Deep brown eyes, noble demeanor, finest dog ever,” he said. “A sad day. Goodbye Big Boy.” It was announced earlier this month that the 55-year-old actor’s web series will debut on Yahoo! in the spring.
The series, called “Electric City,” is set in a city that appears to be peaceful, located in a post-apocalyptic world. The theme of the show is socially conscious, tackling issues that are relevant to today, including energy consumption and freedom of information.
The series will be distributed online and through tablet devices, and will also be available in a variety of different languages. Aside from showcasing Hanks’ producing skills, the show will also feature Hanks voicing a character.
The 55-year-old actor is known for many works, some of which include “Forrest Gump,” “The Green Mile,” “Saving Private Ryan” and “The Da Vinci Code.” He also co-starred with Julia Roberts in “Larry Crowne” in 2011, which he also directed and co-wrote.
