Tim Tebow Ripped By Teammate

Tim Tebow Ripped By Teammate, For a new GQ story called “An Oral History of Tebow Time,” Yahoo! Sports writer Mike Silver talked to a variety of different NFL players, coaches, and executives about Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos 2011-12 season. And, not surprisingly, a bunch of guys ripped Tebow in the piece-for instance, Terrell Suggs called him “terrible”-for everything from his play on the field to his religious beliefs off of it. But what was surprising was that Quinn-the guy who served as Tebow’s backup for much of the season-also got in on the action by throwing several shots in Tebow’s direction. Here are a few examples:

On not getting a chance to start because of the fan support for Tebow:

“Early in the season, there was a game when Kyle [Orton] got hurt and the coaches were calling for me to go in, but Kyle got up and finished the game out. So I was the second-string guy. Then, a few weeks later, they decided to put Tim in. I felt like the fans had a lot to do with that. Just ’cause they were chanting his name. There was a big calling for him. No, I didn’t have any billboards. That would have been nice.”
