Tim Tebow Chargers

Broncos coach John Fox is not saying that your starting quarterback is next 29-24 Denver loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.
Kyle Orton was benched at halftime and Tim Tebow gathered near the Broncos’ 16 points in the fourth quarter. Fox said he has yet to see the movie, talk with your staff, think things through.
Fans chanted “Tebow! Tebow!” in appreciation after the Broncos (1-4) fell three games behind the Chargers (4-1) are eager for an answer. So are Broncos teammates.
“Kyle is a great quarterback, and I have every faith in the world with him in the game. Tim came in and played very well today,” said guard Chris Kuper. “What I can say? It’s hard to say what will happen. As much as we can, we must adjust the (theater) and stay together in the locker room.”
No matter who their leader will be.
“We are trying to succeed long term with someone and that someone is, however, I’m not sure,” said Fox, who said he was in no hurry to name his starter.
Tebow ran for a touchdown and threw for another after replacing Orton to start the third quarter and took a final shot for the win before his pass was incomplete in the end zone on the final play.
Maybe Orton back in the field, use this as a warning and lead to a change in trend. Maybe Tebow won another opportunity with his inspired play after he was buried in the lineup after a terrible training camp.
Ready or not, Tebow was thrust into a game, to appease the fans who have been calling for him to continue with the Broncos lose their way Orton, which is 6.21 since winning his first six starts in Denver.
“He makes plays, can not deny that,” Chargers linebacker, Takeo Spikes said of Tebow. “People can talk about how they throw the ball, people can talk about his release. But at the end of the day, this league is what have you done for me lately, and if you can come and do the works that another man can not, then you will play a long time. ”
After Orton was 6 of 13 for 34 yards and an interception in the first half, Tebow was 4 of 10 for 79 yards and a touchdown and ran six times for 38 yards and a touchdown.
“Tim did a good job,” Orton said. “I thought the offense responded and gave us the chance to win.”
CBSSports.com ‘s Clark Judge says the decision to start Tebow in the future is an “obvious”.
“Tebow gave the Broncos what they need is a pulse, and it came after Kyle Orton was benched,” writes the judge. “There’s a reason the presentation of all the people outside the stadium chanted” Tebow! Tebow! Tebow! For what they do now, or do it later, John (Fox), but just do it. Home Tim Tebow. ”
Orton is no pressure for a return to the field, but said he has yet to be the headline: “This is how I come up to him to tell me otherwise,” said Fox
Tebow also was no indication that it will be at the center in two weeks, when the Broncos visit to Miami.
“Fortunately, I have to make those decisions,” he said.
It will be interesting either way.
Orton was persecuted by the Dolphins in the offseason, but talks collapsed probably trade above their desire to have a long term contract that has spread to his salary and $ 9 million this year. And the Dolphins will honor the 2008 national champion Florida Gators – which was none other than Tebow, when the Broncos visit the Sun Life Stadium on October 23.
Philip Rivers overcame two big turnovers in throwing for 250 yards and a touchdown to go with a TD run and the Chargers prevailed despite a backfield hit with Ryan Mathews (calf, wrist) and Mike Tolbert (concussion brain) injury.
Mathews managed a career-high 125 yards on 25 carries and Nick Novak, who is in the list of shippers, because Nate Kaeding is the year after injuring his left knee on the kickoff of the season, made his five-goal attempts field.
By 23-10, the Broncos cleared on their first three possessions with Tebow at the center before he scored on a 12-yard. Willis McGahee 2-point conversion to reduce the advantage of San Diego to 26-18 with 6 ½ minutes left.
Robert Ayers sacked and stripped Rivers on the next possession, cornerback Andre Goodman and “picked up in the San Diego 41 with 4:38 left. Knowshon Moreno converted a short pass from Tebow into a 28-yard touchdown. However, Brandon Lloyd could not come down with the passage of 2-point conversion.
After fifth field goal from Novak was 29-24 with 24 seconds left, Tebow hit Lloyd for 20 yards and tight end Daniel Fells, 31. He ran down the field and drove the ball at the Chargers 29 with a second left.
He took the final snap, spun and scrambled, but his desperation pass fell incomplete in the end zone.
“This shows that the child is a fighter, always knew,” said Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil. “Some things never change at university level. Give credit. He came and gave us a spark, so it just got better finish.”
Notes: Cassius Vaughn 55-yard INT-TD was the first by a Denver defender from Champ Bailey in 2006. … Broncos RT Orlando Franklin said he would travel to New Jersey to be with his family Monday as they mourn the death of his 20-year-old brother, who died last week. “Football helped me out this week because he used to escape for a few hours every day,” he said.
