Thunderbolt IMacThunderbolt IMac, Apple Inc. on Tuesday launched an updated line of iMac desktop computers with faster processors, high-resolution cameras and a new type of data port.

The new iMac with Intel’s quad-core processors, which had been available as an upgrade from the standard dual-core processors from the previous generation. Apple said the new models are up to 70 percent faster.

The new 21.5-inch iMac has a single port on the Lightning, which can carry data at speeds 20 times faster than most current USB ports. You can also connect additional monitors. The 27-inch iMac has two ports Ray.

Apple introduced Ray on MacBook Pro in February. Intel Corp developed the port.

This starts the 21-inch iMac in 1199, the largest model, and in 1699. Apple revamped its latest iMac in July 2010.
