Mount RushmoreMount Rushmore:In one of the moments of all time to count the chickens before they were born, Nike, in all its glory bright campaign have raised a giant rock fence emulating London Mount Rushmore with the faces of some of the major players England for South Africa. The only problem is that one of the key faces becomes Theo Walcott, who obviously is not aimed at the World Cup. The huge poster also features the faces of Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand and James Milner.

Nike have recently impressed with his “writing the future,” ad, which has curiously Theo for a brief second Brazilian star Ronaldinho and former World Cup as a key participant in the video. Walcott also Ronaldinho will not compete in the World Cup this summer by failing to earn a place in the Brazilian team. With all the planning and preparation that goes into a successful ad campaign, one can understand irony that Nike has no control over which players are chosen for the final squad. Many will remember back to 2006, when a similar TV commercial for Adidas introduced the England striker Jermain Defoe, who also failed to make the final cut.

The poster, which is the largest in the United Kingdom, has been an estimated 6 million times in the final days before opening the second round match against U.S. and will be available for viewing until June 20. The idea of the sculpture of rock began months ago when each player’s face was scanned electronically to produce more realistic image. The images were used by the sculptors of experts to develop and then at a secret location.

In another moment of irony, the words, “play to be remembered,” were recorded in the rock formation in the hope of leading players are produced impressive performances in the World Cup and Nike would come to look for genius in the final. Maybe not this time Nike, but good try.
