Thief Steals Salvation Army Kettle From Disabled Woman, A thief stole one of the iconic red Salvation Army kettles from a disabled woman outside a grocery store earlier in the week. The Red Kettle is a symbol of giving across the US and much of the World.
Robert Stokes of Greencastle was arrested Wednesday morning at 9 a.m. in Waynesboro. Police are still looking for the second suspect, Kyle Caccio. Caccio and Stokes were charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery and theft.

Major Duane Harris of the Salvation Army says the suspects purposely picked on the woman because she couldn’t defend herself.

“She is an older person and is in a motorized scooter and that made it more unbelievable,” said Harris.
