Theresa Parker, Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson will hold a press conference this afternoon to discuss the case Teresa Parker. Will be held in the office of commissioner of Walker County in South Duke Street in Lafayette at 5:30 pm
Wilson said the news conference on the information is new in the case. He declined further comment, except to say, “It’s great.”
Sam Parker was charged in February 2008 with the murder of his wife Teresa, who was a distributor of Walker County 911. In September 2009 Sam Parker was convicted of his murder, although his body was never found. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
A Chattanooga TV station reports that the GBI has confirmed that Teresa Parker bones found in Chattooga County Monday night.
The skeletal remains were found Monday in the southern end of Chattooga County, outside Fullerton Chattoogaville Road in the area near the river and near the Alabama state line.
Authorities said they were able to recover “the most important parts, including teeth well,” which can be matched to dental records.
