The X Factor When Is OnThe X Factor When Is On, Noel Gallagher has said the minimum age limit for X Factor contestants must address, because 16 years of age are too young to cope with rejection – and fame.

The former Oasis star – who turned down a role in the panel of judges in the series – said contestants must be over 18.

His comments came after viewers saw Lily cried Amelia, 16, fired a live edition of the show on Sunday evening.

There have been criticisms of the series in recent weeks with these young aspirants, with the head of a children’s charity asking how old you are up and even Judge Gary Barlow said 16 was too young.

Noel, who is a fan of the series, given their views during a guest presenter slot on the Absolute Radio breakfast program, saying. “Seeing the children crying from there it’s pretty difficult when you say things like ‘Oh, you are great, but you’re too young” – well, not put her through in the first place then you know what I mean ?

“They should put a 16-year-olds in this program.”

He continued: “Well, I think it should be at least 18, because what would happen, possibly, if the public voted in the 16-year-old pop stardom I mean, you know.”

Noel, whose comments come as a team of scholars who investigated the hit talent show came to the conclusion that using the “cruelty of rejection” to attract audiences, said it was completed by the judge Louis Walsh says he knew it.
