The X Factor Results

The X Factor Results, For the second week in a row, The X Factor USA has delivered some pretty shocking results. This week’s shocker came in the form of teen starlet and fan-favorite Rachel Crow being eliminated from the competition.

Rachel was placed into the bottom two along with singer Marcus Canty–who has been in the bottom two for the last three weeks. In the final showdown, both singers performed “save me” songs that they previously did for the movie night theme in the competition: Marcus performed “I’m Going Down” while Rachel resurrected her show-stopping rendition of “I’d Rather Go Blind.”

When it came time for the judges to vote, L.A. Reid and Simon Cowell stuck by their acts once again leaving the vote up to impartial judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Paula was moved by Rachel’s performance and issued a vote for Marcus to go home, leaving it up to Scherzinger to give the deciding vote. A clearly emotional Nicole became torn and chose to let the results go into deadlock where it was revealed that Rachel had the lowest amount of votes and would be leaving the competition just one week short of the semi-finals.

Upon hearing the news, Rachel dropped to her knees and began to cry, prompting her mentor Simon and her mother to get on stage and comfort her. Once composed enough to speak, Rachel thanked her fans for their support. “I just, I love you so much everybody for voting for me even though you didn’t and thank you for giving me this because without you, I’m nothing.” Simon also took the time out to thank everyone who voted for Rach and says he believes she went out on a high note.
