The Voice Nbc, “Can you say a few words about the show?” He asks NBC executive Paul Telegdy with Christina Aguilera. “I think I said everything,” says Aguilera, who is the interruption of an exclusive press pass at Universal Studios VOICE.

“I’m having the most incredible moment in his voice,” says Aguilera. “Root of my team in the series.” Aguilera has appeared on his way to speak of the voice with Jay Leno on The Tonight Show. As one of the contestants exclaimed in the program, being in the room next to the radiant Aguilera is like looking at the sun. Stunning.

THE VOICE presents celebrity coaches singing Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and out Blake Shelton to discover the best singers and make competing to win the title of best singer, to be the voice. NBC was the network that tried to define itself without any sample, so that all-all the time Jay Leno. When this bold plan did not work, and members threatened revolt, the network had to reinvent itself quickly. Important NBC is planning to compete successfully “alternative” programming, including Fox’s American Idol. NBC can build an idol-murderer? Apparently, you can. VOICE has more heart and more time with family and it’s more fun playing.

“The voice is a very positive and very entertaining,” says Telegdy. “NBC is the most similar to the BBC for U.S. broadcasters. When large, is scathing relevant quality entertainment.” Telegdy came to NBC from the BBC, where he made his mark with the surprisingly entertaining car show Top Gear. Key to making this work shows, one of the longest running reality show on the air, is the close relationship comedy even competitive among the drivers of the program. VOICE Aguilera reveals a kitten still very competitive to the best man co-hosts who will not give an inch. This adds an element of fun that goes beyond music contest contestants.

NBC has led to recent success of shows like Celebrity Apprentice, produced by Mark Burnett. VOICE is also producing. “The reason for these stars are sitting there is Mark,” says Telegdy. “They know they can trust him. I was buying a show in November and wanted it on the air in April. Mark was the only option.
A show like this has a lot of machines, a large number of publishers. It is completely wet air. One passes and is off. Top editors come from programs such as Celebrity Apprentice. They all work for the brand. He is editor of several dozen. Alan Carter, the director, does a lot for us. Knows his stuff. Great live too. ”

Telegdy started listening to country music when he moved to the United States. “In Britain it is not really country music.” Telegdy found to have a star in the country gave voice not only relevant to America, but the humor. “Blake Shelton is one of the funniest people to walk the Earth.”

While they wanted humor, Telegdy and Burnett did not want the show to be increasingly farcical. “We did not put a bad singer up there,” says Telegdy. “These artists are very busy. We were not going to f ** k with them. That Christina saw him [at the screening]. She was here for about twelve seconds.” Because the auditions are blind, only the singer’s voice matters. This means that contestants are not limited by age or appearance. The show makes some surprising decisions of the contestants. Celebrity chairs rotate so they can see the only singer after they have chosen the singer to be on your team.

LA VOZ originally filmed in downtown Los Angeles, then moved as it grew. There are three different groups: the chairs, the boxing ring, and sand live show. The whole arena holds about 1,000 people. “Americas Got Talent has 600,” says Telegdy. “So imagine 400 more. The live shows begin June 7. Warner Brothers Stage 18 is 80,000 square meters in the lot. It’s huge. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s the feeling not a TV show, but a concert tour. ”

Telegdy can not wake up in the morning with American Idol’s ratings, but may have the satisfaction that NBC already has a program to rival or exceed Idol at all levels, with big stars, singers surprising and moving stories. Telegdy says a show cannot be all possibilities to every second as Susan Boyle of Britain’s Got Talent. Maybe not. However, the voice is indeed a second chance for NBC. The series premieres Tuesday, April 26th at 9/8c.
