The Sith Who Stole Christmas

November 29, 2011 by staff

The Sith Who Stole Christmas, The long Thanksgiving weekend is over (booo!), but with the end of that weekend comes the beginning of the holiday season (roughly). To celebrate the occasion, we present this wonderful mashup of two holiday institutions — How the Grinch Stole Christmas! and Star Wars.

The Sith Who Stole Christmas clip sets some of Darth Vader’s most menacing moments to the timeless tune “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from Dr. Seuss’ 1966 Grinch cartoon, which shows sometime on some network nearly every holiday season. In geek homes, at least one of the six Star Wars films (probably) gets thrown on at some holiday gathering to fill the hours we spend awkwardly avoiding family.

Frankly, Star Wars is far more areligious/agnostic than Grinch (unless you really believe in the Force), so this video might be more welcome in more homes than any cartoon about any meanie stealing a Christian holiday.
