The Simpsons Safe After Pay DealThe Simpsons Safe After Pay Deal, The Simpsons has been renewed and at least two more seasons, the show is safe after a wage agreement reached between the actors playing the voices of the characters and the network.

The cartoon series had run long in financial hot water, according to 20th Century Fox, and was forced to cut costs or canceled.

“Twenty-three seasons in The Simpsons is as vibrant as ever in a creative and loved by millions of people around the world,” a representative for 20th Century Fox, said in a statement to E! News, before the agreement was reached.

“We believe that this brilliant series can and should continue, but can not produce the next seasons under its current financial model. We hope we can reach an agreement with the cast of voices that allows the Simpsons to go on entertaining the audience with original episodes for many years to come. ”

Now it will be like a deal. According to The Hollywood Reporter:

“Fox did not disclose terms of the agreements with the actors, but sources say they accepted a sharp cut in pay, about 30% of the 440,000 and for each of the 22 episodes that had been doing. That would be a just over 300, $ 000 per episode. “
