The cartoon series had run long in financial hot water, according to 20th Century Fox, and was forced to cut costs or canceled.

“Twenty-three seasons in The Simpsons is as vibrant as ever in a creative and loved by millions of people around the world,” a representative for 20th Century Fox, said in a statement to E! News, before the agreement was reached.

“We believe that this brilliant series can and should continue, but can not produce the next seasons under its current financial model. We hope we can reach an agreement with the cast of voices that allows the Simpsons to go on entertaining the audience with original episodes for many years to come. ”

Now it will be like a deal. According to The Hollywood Reporter:
