The Dark Knight Rises

July 12, 2011 by Post Team

The Dark Knight RisesThe Dark Knight Rises, “The Dark Knight Rises” is rumored to debut its first official teaser trailer with the premiere of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 2″ later this week. What is not a rumor, however, is the debut of this week the first official poster for the film.

First introduced on the official website of the film, the first sign of the third and final installment of Christopher Nolan, Batman sets the stage for an amazing amount of carnage and chaos.

At first glance, could be forgiven for thinking that this poster is not for “The Dark Knight Rises,” but for “Inception” sequel. No characters are here, not even a single line of text (except for a reminder of the general release date, summer 2012, and a gentle nudge of IMAX). The centerpiece of the poster is somewhat ruined the city of Gotham, which is similar to the damaged dream “Inception.” However, the Batman logo signature engraving of the ruined buildings and the sky clouded over, giving us all the information you need: the bad things come to Gotham, and only one man can keep up (get it?) to stop happening.

“The Dark Knight Rises” has players returning Batman Christian Bale, Michael Caine and Gary Oldman as Bruce Wayne, Alfred and Commissioner Jim Gordon, respectively. Newcomers to the end of Nolan Bat-film, Tom Hardy as Bane, Josh Pence Ra Al Ghul as a young Anne Hathaway as Selina Kyle (Catwoman alias), Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate and Joseph Gordon-Levitt and John Blake.
