The Dark Knight Rises, Batman director Christopher Nolan has revealed that its third Batman movie, due out in 2012, is titled “The Dark Knight stands up.”

The director, who revealed the title of Los Angeles Times, is silent on most of the details, except to say that the villain of the movie will not be the Riddler.

“We will use many of the same characters that have all the time, and we will introduce some new,” Nolan told the newspaper.

He said the film was not shot in 3D, but with high-definition IMAX cameras.

The 40-year-old Oscar-nominated director, who earned a box office hit this summer with “Inception” earlier directed “Batman Begins” in 2005 and “The Dark Knight” in 2009. The latter is the seventh highest grossing film of all time.
