The Daily Beast, Meet one of the oldest U.S. publishing titles with one of his most recent, under the leadership of former Vanity Fair editor Tina Brown.

She co-founder of The Daily Beast two years ago and said the two companies would be a “powerful dual platform.”

“In a somewhat difficult time, this merger provides the ideal combination of established authority and intelligent journalism bright, bristling web site,” said Harman.

Just last month, Tina Brown, wrote in the Daily Beast site that the deal did not happen.

However, confirmed the deal had been sealed with a coffee on Tuesday night in Manhattan and the details of the agreement drafted in on Thursday night.

“Some marriages take longer to plan than others,” he wrote.
