August 26, 2010 by staff
The Barclays 2010, American Jim Furyk was unfortunately disqualified from Barclays 2010 golf tournament on Wednesday, after he arrived late for the 7:30 am start of the Pro-Am. The reason for delay – reportedly asleep after the alarm on your cell phone will not turn off!
According to Hank Gola in nydailynews.com, Slugger White – PGA Tour rules official – said he looked Furyk about 30 minutes before the Pro-Am was due to start. Furyk had been scheduled to begin in the eleventh tee. White said he had even tried to call.
Furyk says his cell phone battery went dead, so her alarm did not wake him. The golfer said he woke up at 7:23, which does not leave enough time to get there. You can get more information through nydailynews.com. What do you think the decision of the CPA, to disqualify Furyk?
