Texas Rangers Auction, [News Provider] The Texas Rangers baseball team auction, which will take place on Wednesday, had to be delayed for several hours.
Officials of the bankruptcy case have tried to determine exactly which of the bids was the highest.
There are two bidding groups. The first includes Mark Cuban (owner of Dallas Mavericks) and Jim Crane, a businessman from Houston. The second group includes Nolan Ryan (Rangers president, a pitcher of Hall of Fame) and Chuck Greenberg (an advocate of sports).
The judge said that things can not continue until the highest bidder is decided.
What was clear to begin with was that the Cuban-Crane Group has offered a larger amount of money the group of Ryan Greenberg. The amount is increased by at least 15 million and that the cash portion of the offer the first group. The cash portion of the offer and Cuban-Crane is about 306.7 million.
