Tesco Price Cuts

April 23, 2014 by

Tesco Price Cuts, Tesco is cutting prices on basic groceries from today as it attempts to stem the tide of customers deserting it in favour of low-cost rivals.

It is dropping prices on more than 30 products, including bacon, baked beans, broccoli, peppers, sugar, lettuce, cucumber portions and lines from its bread ranges.

Tesco is also introducing free click-and-collect on groceries across all locations, while some one-hour home delivery slots will be available for £1.

The new prices will see six Tesco free-range medium eggs cut from £1.38 to £1, English slightly salted butter down from £1.49 to £1, baked beans down from 45p to 32p and wholemeal bread cut to 75p from 90p.

The grocery giant said the prices would stay down, as it attempted to head off any criticism that they would bounce back after a promotional period.
