Teen Mom Guilty, A star of MTV reality show “teenage mother” has avoided jail after reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. Twenty-year-old Amber Portwood pleaded guilty to two felony counts of domestic battery in exchange for losing a child neglect felony tax charge against him. Anderson resident has been placed on probation and must undergo 30 days of hospital treatment. A judge will also obtain a high school diploma and 10,000 and put in a college fund for her daughter for two years.
Teen star Amber Portwood mother pleaded guilty to two counts of domestic assault Thursday as part of a plea deal to avoid additional jail time.
According to Superior Court Judge David Happe Madison, Portwood will serve two years probation, but to avoid any jail time even more as a result of the conviction, the Herald Bulletin. The TV star had served a 24-hour after her arrest in December, but was later released on bail and 5000 after a plea of?? Not guilty.
Portwood, 20 years old from Anderson, IN, was arrested last year after prosecutors charged her with two counts of domestic assault, a felony charge of neglect of a dependent and a misdemeanor domestic violence and bank of several incidents – some of which were broadcast on the teen mom – in which allegedly assaulted Gary Shirley, her then again, outside a boyfriend and father of her daughter two years old, Leah.
In addition to the sentence of probation, Portwood reports also must complete 30 days of hospital treatment and subsequent outpatient treatment that is based on the evaluation. Happe also ordered Portwood to get your high school diploma and leave to one side and ten thousand, to start a college fund for Leah, reported The Gazette.
According to the Bulletin, if Portwood will have two other charges – gross negligence of an internal battery dependent and less – dropped against her if he stops to the terms of her agreement with prosecutors.
Happe reportedly asked the young parent star to start saving money for future education of her daughter because most of the abuses occurred off Portwood Leah and he believes the fund will be “upgrading” to the child.
The judge also concluded that an important difference separated Portwood of most cases of its kind.
“What distinguishes the others in her situation, she has significant financial assets,” Happe told The Bulletin.
The teen parent star revealed in January that she does and 140,000 for a six-month contract with MTV for the filming of the series. Portwood made the revelation during an appearance before the court of Madison County Class Steven judge after her arrest.
