Teachers Day Speech, Poems On Teachers, Teacher Quotes, Teachers Day Greeting Cards, The Indian community in the Waikato will honor the teachers and the younger members of society at a special meeting on 05 September.
The editor of this newspaper will talk about more in the family & Fe, with special reference to the contributions of teachers to strengthen family and social ties.
The meeting will be held at the Celebration of Age Center, located on Victoria Street 30 330 hours.
Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (Gopi) Waikato and World Indianz Women and Family Group are presenting this program as part of the celebrations for Teachers Day.
India held on 05 September as Teachers Day in honor of the second President of India and teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
The event in Hamilton including awards to children of Indian origin, in recognition of its achievements in education, arts, language and sport.
Mehta wants unity
Despite ordering the unit and public speaking on the platform of unity in diversity and other jargon, the Indians are perhaps more divided as a community. Factionalism, petty squabbles and the peak of the personality cults within the community and not one organization can claim to be impartial.
Unity In a bastion of solidarity and advocate of “indigenous,” Indian High Commissioner Admiral Sureesh Mehta recommends a unified approach to all, including observing Republic Day, Independence Day, Diwali and so on.
That was the thrust of his speech in Hamilton, during his first visit last month.
His advice fell on deaf ears.
Just days after the program (called Swagatotsav) was held, an Indian official Association wrote to us to take serious exception to the inclusion of your organization as a party to the function.
Gopi Waikato President Suman Kapoor organized the program with the support of officials and members of the Country Section New Zealand Association of India, Kerala Samajam Hamilton, Hamilton Malayali Association Global Indian Cultural Society Indianz Women & Family Group, New Zealand Indian Central Association of New Zealand Sikh Society Hamilton, Hamilton Ramayan Sanstha, Waikato Waikato Muslim Association of India and association.
