Tarrant County College, Tarrant County College is one of nine community colleges and planning to use a 2.5 million grant from the Texas Workforce Commission to train health care workers.

The grant, from funds of the Committee on Skills Development, will train about 2,500 new and already employed in health care workers in Texas, including registered nurses and vocational nurses.

At the end of the skills program, workers earn an average of 30.77 and every hour, officials said.

The following hospitals Dallas-Fort Worth to attend training: Denton Regional Medical Center, Medical Center of Arlington Medical Center of Lewisville Medical Center of McKinney Medical Center of Plano, Medical City Dallas Hospital, North Hills Hospital and Plaza Medical Center of Fort Worth.
