Target Worker Black Midnight

Target Worker Black Midnight, When most people think of Black Friday sales, they’d envision setting the alarm clocks early and waking up before sunrise the day after Thanksgiving to take advantage of door-buster deals.
But this year, retailers Target, Macy’s, Best Buy and Kohls are all opening at the stroke of midnight the night before. Walmart upped the ante by announcing it would open at 10 p.m., and Toys ‘R Us beat them by an hour with a 9 p.m. opening.
Retailers hope it will give them the edge for collecting some of the $11 billion dollars shoppers spent on Black Friday last year.
But there’s some backlash building: there are a number of petitions against shopping on Thanksgiving on change.org , one of which has more than 96,000 supporters. Facebook also has several pages devoted to boycotting shopping on Thanksgiving.
Retail workers aren’t happy, either, since they may have to miss Thanksgiving dinners to man the checkout counters. One Target worker says he’ll miss turkey day completely because he’ll have to sleep all day to be ready for the 11 p.m. shift.
