Obama BirthdayObama Birthday, Hello from the oval. Forty-nine years, a future president was born: Barack Obama. However, it is a busy birthday for the President, who this morning addresses the AFL-CIO Executive Council. “The president will discuss the steps we have taken to rebuild the economy and create jobs, and the fact that even if we have a long way to go, we’re heading in the right direction,” explains the timing of the House White.

After lunch with a group of senators, Obama will present the 2010 Citizens of the coin of 13 Americans around the country. The medal recognizes those who have “performed acts of exemplary service to their country or their fellow citizens.”

Later, Obama responds with one of his harshest critics: Minority Leader Mitch McConnell Senate, R-Ky.

Lastly, at the end of the afternoon, Mr. Obama went home to Chicago for a birthday dinner with friends. He spent the night in his home in Hyde Park.
