Wwe Survivor Series, Event: WWE Survivor Series Pay-Per-View Airdate: Sunday, November 20th, 2011 (Pay-Per-View) Location: Madison Square Garden in New York, New York “Yes, sir, we promised you a great main event…”
Dark Match Result:

Santino Marella beat Jinder Mahal in a dark match prior to tonight’s WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view from Madison Square Garden in New York City.

WWE Survivor Series Opener:

We open the show with a video package that highlights the main feuds heading into tonight, with a lot of time spent on the Cena/Rock vs. Awesome Truth match, of course.

The pyro hits and Michael Cole welcomes us to Survivor Series. The announcers hype some new kind of social network hub on WWE.com, and this leads directly into John Laurinaitis coming out. He lets the people know his exact title before saying tonight is his tenth anniversary here in WWE, on top of being the 25th anniversary of Survivor Series. This makes little sense as this leads us directly into the US Championship match. John Morrison is out first, getting a pretty weak reaction from the crowd.

WWE United States Championship
– Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. John Morrison

The bell rings and we’re ready to begin. The crowd is chanting that they want Ryder. Both men lock up and Dolph takes Morrison down to the mat and slaps at the back of his head before bailing to the outside to avoid Morrison’s ire. Ziggler heads back into the ring and we get another lock up. Both men try for hammerlocks before Morrison takes Ziggler down to the mat with an arm bar. Ziggler fights off Morrison and beats and stomps on him in the corner.

Winner and STILL US Champion: Dolph Ziggler

WWE Divas Championship
Lumberjill Match
– Beth Phoenix (c) vs. Eve

The divas who are acting as Lumberjill’s make their way to the ring first, as a group. Eve is the first competitor to make her way out to the ring, to a bit of a reaction from the crowd. I haven’t said it yet, but I have to say MSG looks a lot different, and I kind of miss the old set up. It looks like any other arena now.

Beth Phoenix is out next with Natalya in tow, she gets a bit of a reaction too.

Winner and STILL WWE Divas Champion: Beth Phoenix

5-on-5 Traditional Survivor Series Match
– Team Orton (Randy Orton, Sheamus, Mason Ryan, Kofi Kingston & Sin Cara) vs. Team Barrett (Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Hunico & Dolph Ziggler)

Wade Barrett is the first man from his team to make his way down to the ring. I can’t tell if it’s the new layout of the arena, or what, but this crowd seems pretty subdued for an NYC crowd. Jack Swagger is out next, and he too gets a pretty poor reaction.

Team Barrett wins
Survivors: Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes
World Heavyweight Championship
– Mark Henry (c) vs. Big Show

We get formal ring introductions for both men, and we’re ready to kick things off.

We get a lock up and Show pushes Henry down to the mat right off the bat. Another lock up, and this time Henry shoves Show away, though he doesn’t fall to the mat. A third lock up and Show shoves Henry down to the mat. Henry bails to the outside.

Henry slowly makes his way back into the ring. Henry ducks the lock up and goes behind Show this time, but Show reverses and takes Henry down with a waist lock takedown. Show hits Henry with an arm drag (!), and this sends Henry bailing to the outside again.

Winner: Big Show
STILL World Heavyweight Champion: Mark Henry
WWE Championship
– Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. CM Punk

Ricardo Rodriguez is out first to introduce the WWE Champion. Del Rio comes out to the ring in a beautiful Aston Martin red convertible (not the most practical choice for NYC in November).

The crowd is chanting for Punk before Del Rio’s music even hits. Apparently, Punk has a personal ring announcer for the evening as well, WWE Hall of Famer, Howard Finkel. The Fink makes his way out from the back to a big pop from the crowd. The crowd is actually chanting for the Fink! Howard finally makes the announcement, and it’s amazing! Punk comes out to a huge pop from the crowd. Punk shakes hands and gives a little hug to Fink before heading down to the ring.

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: CM Punk

The Rock & John Cena vs. The Miz & R-Truth

Miz and Truth are, obviously, the first men to make their way out to the ring. Miz is nice enough to dedicate their entrance song to the NYC crowd, letting them know that the suck.

Cena is out next and he gets a hostile welcome to MSG. Cena stops to talk to the camera, saying the fans love him here in New York City.

Winner: John Cena and The Rock

After the match, Rock celebrates in the ring, posing in the corners. Cena applauds Rock as he makes his way toward the back. Rock calls for the crowd to quiet down, and his music to stop. He doesn’t look too happy with Cena clapping for him. Cena makes his way back into the ring. Cena poses on the turnbuckle, but gets nothing but heat for it. Cena comes back into the ring, and he and Rock have a few words.

Wwe Survivor Series Results, WWE SURVIVOR SERIES, Cena Fired, Orton Retains title, Nexus Defeated, Cobra Lost ,Sheamus Lost, Dolph Ziggler Wins, Natalya Wins , Beth Phoenix Backed to wwe, Team Alberto Del Rio defeated By Big Show and Boyaka, Miz has not came,Kane Still holding title.

Main Points of the WWE SURVIVOR SERIES 2010
1. The series continues! Bryan Daniel has another really good opening match on the card. WWE should be grateful to have him in this slot, who works in a similar role in WCW cruiserweights. Have a good opening match and put athletics.

2. Miz incredible cutting promos on the card are good. Miz with a big match on the card would be better, I’m glad to see Miz have time to see her, but felt his character would be better constructed from Bell to Bell, and not through vouchers PPV.

3. I am very surprised to see Sheamus put on John Morrison. It really shows how Sheamus came last year. It has grown from a recruit who seems to further a legitimate main eventer with the possibility of raising a star event not so great.

4. I hope that the outcome of the WWE Championship match tonight does not change the existing character of the R-Truth. Apart from singing at the crime ring and low heel almost like the character he plays. A complete tour could be fun.

5. Kaval did not show the bad card, but I do not think it bodes well for him that the crowd was not in his match. Kaval hope will bounce from here and possibly have a program with Dolph Ziggler.

6. I am disappointed that MVP was the first man eliminated tonight. He made some very good work lately and appears again on the verge of another escape.

7. The elimination match was fun but nothing special. I did not like how they eliminated Alberto Del Rio, but I do not know how they would have done.

8. Natalya victory seemed like the greatest moment of struggle by women this year. This was not a great time overall, but it was best we can hope for in the division of Diva

9. The Edge and Kane non-finish was terrible. I do not want to see Kane in another PPV main event. Next month, the TLC we should have a fun game for Edge, but I think it can be driven by Paul Bearer stupidity.

10. it’s amazing how, over Santino is Cobra.

11. So, John Cena is now drawn. I appreciate the time he was given at the end of the main event to let the message sink, but I also think that not enough of a big deal was made about Randy Orton successfully defend championship. This should be the biggest story coming out of this show.

12. Will we see John Cena on RAW tomorrow night? I think it was a bit of a disappointment that we did not get the big “You’re fired” moment tonight at the map. Why the WWE decides to reward the viewers instead of people paying for the show?

13. How to move forward with the WWE this angle? Will we see John Cena coming through a mask, as Mr. America? GM to allow the mystery superstar on its top mark to be fired by another superstar? Does that make sense?

That people tonight, all for me. It was not a good PPV. There were solid games, but overall it was not worth the money. It seemed he would be the most memorable show since Wrestlemania, but it proved to be a fair of the WWE.
