Wrath Of The Titans

Wrath Of The Titans, WITH Perseus having slain Medusa and the Kraken in 2010’s remake of Clash of the Titans, there needs to be a new menagerie of mythical beasts in this month’s sequel Wrath of the Titans.

Among them is the Chimera, a fire-breathing horror which, in the original myths, was a blend of lioness, goat and snake. It was among the offspring of the hundred-headed Typhon and the half-woman, half-snake Echidna, whose terrifying offspring also included multi-headed monstrosities Cerberus and the Hydra.

A new featurette released by Warner Bros tells you all you need to know about the Chimera featured in the upcoming movie.

Wrath of the Titans is released on March 30 and stars Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Edgar Ramirez, Toby Kebbell, Rosamund Pike, Bill Nighy and Danny Huston. Here’s a reminder of the synopsis:

A decade after his heroic defeat of the monstrous Kraken, Perseus is attempting to live a quieter life as a village fisherman and the sole parent to his 10-year-old son, Helius.

Meanwhile, a struggle for supremacy rages between the gods and the Titans. Dangerously weakened by humanity’s lack of devotion, the gods are losing control of the imprisoned Titans and their ferocious leader, Kronos, father of the long-ruling brothers Zeus, Hades and Poseidon.

The triumvirate had overthrown their powerful father long ago, leaving him to rot in the gloomy abyss of Tartarus, a dungeon that lies deep within the cavernous underworld.

Perseus cannot ignore his true calling when Hades, along with Zeus’s godly son, Ares, switch loyalty and make a deal with Kronos to capture Zeus.

The Titans’ strength grows stronger as Zeus’s remaining godly powers are siphoned, and hell is unleashed on earth.
