World Series Mvp, If someone said that the Cardinals would be in the World Series, it is likely that most people in America might think Albert Pujols would be the World Series MVP.

But as a Yankees broadcaster always says “No one can predict baseball,” and was never more true than in this postseason.

Cardinals third baseman David Freese ended up winning the World Series MVP, as he and the Red Birds beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7.

No one would believe that a guy who hit .297 with 10 homers, 55 RBIs in the regular season takes home the MVP of the World Series crown, but it did.

The hometown boy, who actually quit baseball, ended his remarkable run second phase, with two more RBIs to give the No. 21 all season, breaking the previous record.

His World Series numbers: .348 batting average, seven RBIs and a homer. Freese began to get hot in Game 4 of the NLDS against the Phillies when he was four RBIs. Then kept the streak going through the NLCS, and all the way to the World Series.

Its total playoff numbers: .397, five homers, 21 RBIs, eight doubles and .465 OBP.

“I had a whole day of my life when I thought I would not even close to being a major player,” said Freese, according to the Associated Press. “I’m here because the world around me. They have put so much confidence in me to carry out not only baseball, but only things in life, and this is – I am full of joy, at last.”

After his performance in Game 6 one of the best playoff games ever played, seemingly set in stone that Freese will be the MVP. All cardinals had to do was win the game 7 and they did.
