World Hello Day, Like other parts of the globe, the 39th annual World Hello Day was observed on Monday across the country, encouraging the citizens to use communication rather force to settle conflicts.

The day promotes peace among people by increasing interaction as they exchange simple greetings or messages to their friends, near ones and leaders.

The word ‘Hello’ is the most frequently used word in daily conversation and people around the world use the occasion of World Hello Day as an opportunity to express their concern for world peace.

Anyone can participate in World Hello Day simply by greeting ten people as it demonstrates the importance of personal communication for preserving peace. World Hello Day was begun in response to the conflict between Egypt and Israel in the Fall of 1973. Since then, the day has been observed by people in 180 countries.

Among others, 31 winners of the Nobel Peace Prize have realised World Hello Day’s value as an instrument for preserving peace and as an occasion that makes it possible for anyone in the world to contribute to the process of creating peace
