Words With Friends, Alec Baldwin entered into an online tirade against American Airlines last night after he was removed from a flight at LAX airport. The actor was reportedly playing ‘Words With Friends’ on his cell phone when he was asked to turn it off.

According to TMZ flight attendants asked him to shut off his cell phone in the middle of a game after the cabin door closed, but while the plane was still at the gate.

A police source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told ‘The Los Angeles Times’ that Baldwin was escorted off an American Airlines flight. The source said police were not involved in the incident, which he said was between the airline and the actor.

Fellow passenger, former MTV President and COO Michael J. Wolf, tweeted: “On an AA flight at LAX. Alec Baldwin removed from the plane We had to go back to the gate. Terrible that everyone had to wait.”

A short time later, Baldwin tweeted: “Flight attendant on American reamed me out 4 playing WORDS W FRIENDS while we sat at the gate, not moving. #nowonderamericaairisbankrupt.”

Passengers told TMZ that Baldwin was thrown off the flight after slamming a bathroom door so loudly that the captain called back to flight attendants to see what was going on. He then made the decision to have Baldwin removed.

A Baldwin source denied the door-slamming incident happened, and said that he only got up to get the flight attendant’s name so he could file a complaint, and that he was asked to leave because the fasten seat belt sign was on.
