Winterthur Museum, The holiday season has officially arrived now that Santa sightings are a regular occurrence. With such a busy season ahead, it made sense to file upcoming holiday events by date and put them all in calendar for easy planning. Enjoy!

WHAT ‘Holiday Art Market’: The Newark Arts Alliance presents “Holiday Art Market,” a fundraiser featuring fine artwork and crafts perfect for gift-giving. Choose from work by 11 local artists, working in mediums that include jewelry, pottery, weaving, batik clothing, photography, paintings, prints and window charms; 20 percent of all sales will benefit the NAA. WHAT‘A Very Candlelight Christmas’: This year New Candlelight Theatre is offering a modern retelling of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” The production tells the story of Devlin Powers, a once veteran director, whose arrived at the last stop of his showbiz career. Unhappy with where life has taken him, and thoroughly disgusted with his current cast and staff, he’s on the brink of closing his theater days before the annual Christmas show opens. He’s visited by many familiar, and often quirky, Broadway characters who take him through his past, present and future in a fun-filled journey to help him regain the joy and love he lost years ago. WHAT‘First State Symphonic Band Christmas Concert’: First State Symphonic Band invites the community to join them for a fun and entertaining evening for their 15th Annual Holiday Concert at First Baptist Church. The program will be full of traditional and seasonal tunes performed by musicians of all ages and will include holiday tunes such as “Sleigh Ride,” “Ding Dong,” “Merrily on High,” “March of the Toys,” “Celtic Carol” and many more.
