GOP Debate Tonight January 23, Tonight’s NBC GOP Debate will be the first chance for the four remaining Republican Presidential hopefuls to put South Carolina behind them as they build towards next Tuesday’s GOP Primary in the Sunshine State.

You can livestream tonight’s GOP Debate from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida (which isn’t really in South Florida at all) on MSNBC and at the Tampa Bay Times website. The video for the debate will not be live until 9pm EST. We have embedded a preview of the GOP debate below.

Newt Gingrich got himself back in the conversation with a big win in South Carolina on Saturday, reaping the benefits of a week of fiery attacks on the media and on Mitt Romney, the former Massachusetts governor and winner of the Iowa GOP Caucus and New Hampshire Republican Primary.

The USF GOP Debate on NBC will pit Romney, Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum against each other for the first time since Saturday’s South Carolina Primary. It will also be the first debate in a week that won’t have the shadow of Stephen Colbert hanging over it.

The NBC Republican debate, sponsored by NBC, the Tampa Bay Times, The National Journal and the Florida Council of 100, airs on NBC at 9 PM eastern time. The NBC GOP debate takes place in Tampa, Florida. It will be the candidates’ first chance to make a statement leading up to next Tuesday’s Florida Republican Primary.

You can watch the NBC GOP Debate from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida beginning at 9 PM below.

With Gingrich gaining steam in the GOP race, it’s really a battle between he and Romney, but Ron Paul may still be able to make a big statement in the race. If he’s going to do it, though, Florida is going to be his last chance.

Gingrich, who was once the Republican favorite but fell off with consecutive fourth-place finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, got a bit win in South Carolina over the weekend, and needs to continue rolling through Florida to give himself a shot to take the lead in the race in Nevada and Maine.
