Q:  If you and your spouse were not able to continue your sexual relationship due to medical reasons, what affect would that
have on your relationship? What would this mean to both of you? (5 answers – asked 26 months ago)
A: It depends upon your age and the strength of your marriage
Of couse, the older you are especially those beyond their 60’s sex drives slows down and do not command as important a spot in a relationship as before. Hopefully as the couple matures together, the initial lust that may have been a factor in their earlier relationship is replaced by true love and friendship. Should then one of the partners experience a medical condition making it impossible to have intercourse, the strength of that relationship should be sufficient to carry it past this obstacle, And the partner with the problem could do other things to satisfy the sexual needs of the other if this remains an important aspect in eithers lives. Most important, though, is communication between the two and the desire to work out how to proceed, to their mutual advantage .
