Wear A Belt To Keep Overeating, It’s ridiculously easy to eat too much over the holiday season and end up having to lose weight come January. Simply enjoying a few of your favorite and long-awaited dishes can lead to some serious weight gain.

With so many parties to go to, so many specific feasts, and so many family members bringing their own fat and carb-laden dishes, many people are gobbling too much food down and don’t even realize it until it’s too late.

If you’re worried about overeating during the holidays, then we have a few tips you can use to stop it before it starts.

Don’t Deprive Yourself

Now, you do not ever want to overindulge, but outright avoiding the holiday foods that you love can and will result in overeating during the holidays. When you try to avoid that piece of pie, you’ll eventually find yourself in front of the fridge at 4am woofing down carb and fat-loaded food at a frenetic pace. Don’t act like it’s never happened to you!

Moderation, although it sounds like the biggest cliché in the world, is the key here. Eat small servings, small meals, and never put too much on your plate.

Don’t Skip Meals

One common misconception around holiday time is that, if you skip breakfast and lunch, you can get by with overindulging at dinner and be okay. Well, this is dreadfully wrong, and it will result in some serious weight gain and possibly cause you to eat much more than you intended.

You need to eat a light and healthy breakfast. A good tip to use here is to eat 4 or 5 smaller meals throughout the day, including your dinner.

Don’t eat too Quickly

Eating too quickly is bad news at any time, but especially around the holidays. Most people will load down their plates and woof the food down, not realizing that they’re full until they’re stuffed. Simply take your time and enjoy the meal; give those hormones time to tell you that you’re full and satisfied.

Don’t Forget the Water

The importance of water can never be oversold for your healthy eating habits, and this is especially true around the holidays. Drinking a glass of water before meals will help you feel fuller quicker, and opting for water instead of those holiday cocktails will help to keep weight off in general

Don’t let the Belt Out

Whether you’re wearing a belt or tight-fitting clothes, leave them on. As you eat and your stomach expands, you will feel it physically due to your clothing and/or belt. This should be a signal to stop overeating. Don’t let your belt out and continue to eat. Simply walk away!
