WBTV, (WBTV) – If you watch the Sunday talk shows, all politicians speak angrily there. A Pew Research poll released in December showed 72 percent of people are dissatisfied with their national conditions.

In the aftermath of the shooting in Arizona, he now has the politicians to decide between accessibility and security.

We went to the local legislators to see if they are considering changes in how they handle public appearances.

The Senator from North Carolina Kay Hagan touts a Congress on the event type Corner on its website called Conversations with Kay. He is described as a time to meet with constituents and discuss their concerns with them. Senator Hagan said in a statement to WBTV will continue to do so because these events “I believe that access to public officials is inherent in our democracy.”

Sue Myrick Congress camp said: “We always take security precautions at public events, and will continue to do so.”

Senator Richard Burr has scheduled public events throughout the state this week in secondary schools, small businesses, etc. A spokeswoman said in e-mail “at this stage I am not aware of any security or changes in the calendar. ”

A spokesman for South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham said it’s too early to discuss security plans when it comes to its public meetings.

There was a conference call Sunday with over 800 members of Congress, their spouses, personnel managers and others to discuss security.

Connecticut Rep. John Larson says legislators will receive specific suggestions safety later in the week of the Capitol Police.
