Dodgeball, The Victoria Sports & Social Club (SCSSV) prepares to launch its second season Jan. 31, offering dodgeball, volleyball, and indoor soccer, and basketball and floor hockey. SCSSV offers mixed recreational sports leagues, tournaments, outdoor adventures and social events for adults, bringing the community and its members together. We offer a healthy competition with an emphasis on fun that is available to all skill levels. Registration for the Winter 2011 season ends Jan. 25.

Not only SCSSV an impact on the community, but SCSSV also provide an outlet for people to stay active in the New Year! By providing a flexible means to join, as an individual with few friends, and team SCSSV invites everyone to come out and play. In partnership with local pubs, like the Fernwood Inn, members can continue the fun off the field and take advantage of free food! SCSSV easy it is to fight against the winter blues and stay active during the winter months.

Annapolis, Annapolis is a 2006-movie drama directed by Justin Lin featuring James Franco, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Donnie Wahlberg, Roger Fan, and Chi McBride. The movie revolves around Jake Huard, a young man who dreams of one day attending the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. He was released on January 27, 2006 in USA.

On February 12, 2006, the film grossed a total of approximately U.S. $ 17.2 million in the United States, and was produced for one and 26 million budget. Annapolis marked the most negative criticism of the critics, but found an audience on DVD sold over four million copies and stay on the top 10 rental lists around the country.

The film begins with Jake Huard (Franco) wake up after being overthrown in a boxing match. After his return to his feet and beating his opponent, he returns home he shares with his father at a distance (Brian Goodman), who is also his employer at a shipyard building ships for the Navy. It is revealed that his mother died there indefinitely, and his father doubts his ability to be something else.

The next day, Jake is visited by LCDR Burton (Wahlberg), who reveals that his candidacy for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland has recently been accepted. In a bar where Jake and his friends celebrate his acceptance, his friends have a young woman named Ali (Brewster), who they believe is a prostitute hired as a parting gift. Huard attempts to seduce Ali failed, and his farewell to his father leaves him frustrated.

On his first day at the Academy, Huard discovers that one of his instructors is Ali, a midshipman 2nd class (an upperclassman) and the same woman as her friends present. She and her colleague’s instructor, Whitaker, start hazing Jake plebe class, and it is revealed that Jake is especially educational backwardness. Their commanding officer of the company, the aspirant Lieutenant 1st Class Cole (Gibson), proves to be an enlisted Marine, and announced its intention to implement any ensign; he feels will not become a worthy officer. Jake Nance includes roommates (Shannon) (nicknamed Twins because it is too big to complete the obstacle course), Loo (Fan), and Estrada (Calderon), which is targeted by Whitaker due to his race.

As time passes, Estrada was deported for having lied to Whitaker and seeks to undermine Loo when he informs on Estrada to Cole. Huard class becomes increasingly frustrated with the pain because of its failures, as evidenced by Loo leave the room. Nance says his refusal to leave, noting that the instructors are so focused on Huard they are leaving him alone. Back home in winter recess, he intends not to return until he discovers that his father made a bet, expecting him to fail. Upon his return, the class begins training in boxing and it is announced that a tournament midshipman, the Brigades will be held at the end of the year. Huard anger after the boxing instructor with some misconduct against Cole in the ring, he is forced to train by himself.

After a game after hours with Burton, Huard swallows his pride and admits he needs help training, recruitment of Ali and Burton for physical training, and Nance for academics and gain enough weight to be in the weight class of Cole. In his match with Loo, he endures some teasing and returns with a single knockout punch, which earned him the respect and support of Loo, with the rest of his class when he shows himself capable of conduct studies. It progresses through the tournament and defeated Whitaker in the semifinals, leaving Huard and Cole for the final match.

Nance fails after only four seconds to successfully complete the obstacle course within five minutes; Cole informed Nance that he would be separated from the Academy. Nance suicide attempts, which grows to tackle Jake Cole angry. Expecting to be fired, Jake begins to pack up and leave, until Cole approaches him and informs him that he has requested more time from the Disciplinary Board to delay the hearing until the last game Brigades. After some encouragement from the recovery of Nance, Jake steps into the ring to fight Cole, lasting three rounds. Although Cole wins by decision, the ability of boxing Jake has earned the respect of all of the Academy, and his father (who came to see the fight while being behind the boat today, it is built).

Later during the hearing, the Disciplinary Board decides to keep Jake, based on the recommendation of Cole. Class of 2008 celebrated the end of their Plebe year, while Jake and Ali finally openly express their mutual attraction. Jake approaches recently commissioned Lieutenant Cole to ask who would have earned had he continued the struggle, to which Cole challenges Jake to join the Marines to find out.
