Us News And World Report, NY – For the sixth consecutive year, Ithaca College is ranked number seven regional universities in the north by “U.S. News & World Report.” Ithaca is tied with RIT for being the highest ranking in school its kind in New York. This is the 16th consecutive year that the university has been ranked in the top 10.

The rankings are based on peer assessment, graduation and retention rates, faculty resources, student selectivity, financial resources and alumni giving.

In a separate listing entitled “Great Schools, Great Prices,” Ithaca is ranked number six in its category among the institutions that offer quality education at reasonable cost.

“Ithaca has long been committed to excellence as a comprehensive residential college,” said Ithaca College President Tom Rochon. “The recognition by ‘U.S. News’ for the high quality of our programs, along with the test for being a great value, it is very rewarding.”

In his recently published “America’s Best Colleges” issue, “U.S. News & World Report” lists of Ithaca College in the best “regional universities” category, which includes colleges and universities that provide a wide range of undergraduate degrees and expertise, but few offer, if any, doctoral programs. The 572 institutions in this category are not nationally ranked but rather against its peer group in one of four geographic regions – North, South, Midwest and West.

Ithaca College offers over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs for more than two dozen teachers and a doctorate in physical therapy.
